Sounds strange, doesn’t it?
Here's what I mean: I love hot coffee, especially on a cold day. I also love iced coffee on a hot day. Even the hot
drinks when ice-cold taste great, but lukewarm coffee or tea or
lemonade are pretty gross. Agree? Here's where things get interesting...or scary: Jesus
said, “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth" (Revelation 3:15-16). The thing
that I find frightening about this verse is that these people were “IN Christ.” (You can’t vomit
something out, if it’s not inside first.)
When I read this verse before I gave my life to Christ many years
ago, I knew that I was lukewarm. I believed in Jesus, but I was a blasé
believer. I went my own way and I did my own thing, not caring what He thought, or what He wanted from me. So when I read this verse it hit me. My
indifference to Him would expel me from His Heavenly Kingdom when he vomited me
out.
The good news is that if you’re still here on Earth, there's
hope. Because a few verses later Jesus said to those very same people, “Behold, I
stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I
will come in to him,” (Revelation 3:20).
Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. Will you let Him in? For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall
be saved” (Romans 10:13).
If you have made this decision and invited Christ into your life, tell a few people what you have done. Telling others solidifies the commitment in your mind and heart. Romans 10:9-10, says: "If you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” The way to become "hot" is to walk wholeheartedly in His ways: Obeying his Word, loving one-another, and making disciples by telling others about Him and then teaching them to walk in His ways.

I am praying for you.
